Palm Terrace

A two hundred year old oak shades Serendipity Pond at the heart of Palm Terrace.

Palm Terrace is a neighborhood of historic homes built in the 1920s and 1930s. These homes represent a diverse range of styles, including Tudor revival, Spanish revival, and Colonial. The neighborhood, along with Elizabeth Place to the west, back ups to Elizabeth Creek.

Palm Terrace has a strong sense of community, with many residents who have lived most or all of their lives here. The neighborhood has a yearly Christmas party, barbecues in the spring, and work together to maintain their pond and surrounding parks.

Palm Terrace is zoned for J. J. Finley Elementary School, Westwood Middle School, and Gainesville High School, which are among the most highly regarded (and rated) public schools in town.  The neighborhood is conveniently located north of University Ave, at 24th St, about a three minute walk to the UF Law School or a twenty minute walk to the main campus.
