Hibiscus Park

A neighborhood gathering in Hibiscus Park
|
Hibiscus Park is just north of the University of Florida campus. This charming neighborhood was platted in 1927 and is one of the first subdivisions created in the city. Tree-lined streets, distinct homes, and a neighborhood park make Hibiscus Park a unique place to live.
Hibiscus Park residents consist of a mix of young professionals, longtime residents, students, and families. The diversity of Hibiscus Park makes it an energetic and fun place to live.
Since Hibiscus Park does not have any through streets, the roads receive much less traffic than other areas of the city. Hibiscus Park is less than a mile from campus, offering easy access to the University of Florida.
As one of Gainesville’s most attractive developments, Hibiscus Park has homes that represent many of the architectural styles associated with pre-World War II architecture. Spanning nine decades, Hibiscus Park has architectural styles that date from the 1920s to the twenty-first century and includes several 1920s bungalows, a number of 1930s to 1950s ranch and prairie-style houses, and at least one fieldstone cottage. This architectural collection is of great historical significance to the city of Gainesville.
We hope you will join us in discovering the gems in one of the city’s oldest, if not the oldest, residential subdivision.
